Wingspan Development Group has announced that they are starting construction on a $60 million, 284 unit luxury apartment development in Plainfield, Illinois. Wingspan along with their equity partners Integrated Capital Management and a client of Washington Capital of Seattle, secured construction financing through Geneva Capital Group.
Multifamily Biz states that the development will provide much needed multi-family housing to the Village of Plainfield which is considered one of the southwest suburbs most desirable addresses due to their close proximity to multiple employment centers and high ranking school districts.

Wingspan wants to create a community that is affordably priced while offering its residents an upgraded lifestyle that will include the following:

Sixteen30 will feature a mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments in a variety of floor plans. Construction has begun on the clubhouse and first two buildings and should be ready for occupancy in the spring of 2021.
An article in Wingspan Development states the the architectural design features an attractive mixture of materials, primarily siding with stone accents in a neo-farmhouse style. Interior finishes will include quartz counter tops, stainless steel appliances, ceramic tile back splashes and more.
There will be 8 residential buildings which will include:
- Building A will have 37 units x 4 buildings = 148 units.
- Building B will have 34 units x 4 buildings = 136 units
- total of 284 units
- Building C will be the recreation building
Parking will consist of the following:
- 63 detached garage spaces
- 374 parking spots
- 9 ADA parking spaces
- 40 Interior garage
- 40 Tandem
- Total of 526 spaces
The property is located within walking distance to a variety of restaurants and shops in Plainfield's historic downtown, the Village Hall, and PACE's new park n' ride facility with express service to Chicago. Wingspan has selected Eleni Interiors as the interior design team for the clubhouse and model unit.
