Orland School District 135 is initiating a massive construction effort involving five significant projects across the district. These developments are designed to expand and enhance the current school facilities, providing a more flexible and enriched learning environment.
Five school additions are planned to make our existing schools more flexible to support some of the immediate and long term needs of the District. Prairie is the first site to begin construction, with equipment and fencing already in place.
The following is a list of the 5 schools and a brief listing of the work involved:
Prairie Elementary - School Addition
The 7,500 square foot addition will include:
- 5 new classrooms
- 3 new offices
- 1 new conference room
- New bathrooms
- Estimated completion date: Fall 2024
Orland Jr. High - School Addition
The 2,200 square foot addition will include:
- New fitness center
- Updates to large gym
- Estimated completion date: Fall 2024
Liberty Elementary - School Addition
The 5,500 square foot addition will include:
- 3 new classrooms
- 2 new office spaces
- New bathrooms
- Updates to entrance
- Estimated completion date: Fall 2024
High Point Elementary - School Addition
The 15,500 square foot addition will include:
- New gym
- 4 new classrooms
- Updates to current art room
- New student entrance
- New staff workroom
- New bathrooms
- Estimated completion date: Fall 2024
Centennial Elementary - School Addition
The 7,900 square foot addition will include:
- 5 new classrooms
- 1 new office
- 1 conference room
- New bathrooms
- Updates to current music room
- New early childhood playground
- Estimated completion date: Fall 2024
