Construction of Phase 2 of Vita on the Lake begins

The second phase of Mattamy Homes and Biddington Group's Vita on the Lake in Toronto's Humber Bay Shores Community is just starting construction per Urban Toronto. Graziani + Corazza Architects designed the community's second phase which consists of a 16 storey condominium building called Vita Two. This will be located just south of where the 53 storey first phase is being built and will take the place of a presentation centre that was used during the marketing of Mattamy's developments since Lago.

Immediately after the teardown of the presentation centre, crews from Deep Foundations Inc. began the shoring process. They will drill deep into the earth over the next several weeks to create the below grade retaining walls that will be supporting the site's excavation down to a depth of six storeys. This will extend the enormous pit that was previously dug to the northwest for Vita.

The 922 space underground parking garage will serve both buildings and another section of Annie Craig Drive - a local road between Lake Shore and Marine Parade, will run over top of the hidden garage between the two towers.

The project will feature 169 suites, in one to three bedroom configurations that will range from 591 feet to 2,073 feet and will be priced from the mid $600,000's. According to Condo Now, residents will be able to stroll along the shore and enjoy gorgeous views of Toronto through the natural trails and parks of Humber Bay and Sunnyside. The suites will feature spacious wrap-around balconies and amenities will include the following:
