Brockville General Hospital Redevelopment Contract Awarded

Brockville - Infrastructure Ontario (IO) and the Brockville General Hospital (BGH) have posted a Media Release awarding a fixed-price build/finance contract to EllisDon for the Brockville General Hospital - Phase 2 Redevelopment project.

Prequalified Bidders were invited to respond to the RFP issued in May 2017. Four companies submitted Proposals in October 2017.

  • EllisDon Corporation
  • M. Sullivan and Son, Ltd.
  • PCL Constructors Canada, Inc.
  • Pomerleau Inc.

The Brockville General Hospital Redevelopment Project includes new construction of a 170,000 square foot four storey addition, 20,000 square feet of renovations and mechanical penthouse. The hospitals capacity is expected to increase by 22 beds. One of the primary objectives for the redevelopment is to consolidate the four main campuses located on Charles Street, Garden Street, Front Street and the MacDougall Building to the main Charles Street site.

Construction will begin soon with substantial completion expected Summer 2020.
