2022 Construction Expo and Safety Conference

Industry Professionals Are Welcome Back In-Person

ASA Chicago - Association of Subcontractors & Affiliates (ASAC) and the Construction Safety Council (CSC) are pleased to announce the return of the in-person annual Construction Expo and Safety Conference, scheduled for Monday & Tuesday, March 7 & 8, 2022. The best and brightest in construction will forego the all-virtual format of last year and, instead, return in a face-to-face environment at the Drury Lane Conference Center in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois.

“While the coronavirus and its variant strains continue to defy prediction, we look forward to gathering again in-person. We are planning for a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

President & CEO of the Construction Safety Council | Robert Lahey

This time-honored event has served the Chicagoland construction industry for over twenty years by providing opportunities for business-to-business commerce, safety education, and professional networking. The two-day event launches with the safety conference at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 7 with several programming options on topics such as stellar health and safety programs, infectious diseases in the workplace, and leadership skills that get results. Participants may choose from a dozen sessions scheduled throughout the day, all of which offer important lessons to be learned that can be put into practice immediately.

A robust second day of activity is planned as well, highlighted by an annual construction business trade-show featuring more than 100 diverse exhibits comprised of commercial subcontractors of all trades, 20+ general contractors, equipment and material vendors, and professional service providers in the Chicagoland construction market. Fellow industry organizations will also be represented as sponsors and/or exhibitors, such as the Federation of Women Contractors, Chicagoland AGC, Dodge Construction Network, the Chicago Roofing Contractors Association, the National Association of Women in Construction, and the Construction Industry Service Corporation (CISCO). An industry favorite, the event has been known to gain around 1500 qualified attendees who come prepared to network and make the most of this valuable opportunity to strengthen existing connections and build new relationships.

“In 2021, we worked hard to create and refine the best possible virtual event experience that would do our participants justice as they clicked, chatted, and connected in virtual meeting spaces and attended virtual safety classes over the two-day event period. We made use of analytics data and technology to deliver quality leads, education, and value that lasted well-beyond the event itself. Though grateful to have received such positive feedback from our 2021 participants, we are thrilled to host the 2022 Construction Expo & Safety Conference in its original, tried-and-true format for our members and industry peers.”

ASA Chicago’s Executive Director | Marissa Veith

The exhibition on Tuesday, March 8 will be followed by an After Party for event attendees from 4-6 PM, featuring live music and an extended opportunity to connect with like-minded industry professionals. The Tuesday exhibition is also complemented by twelve additional one-hour safety sessions to conclude the two-day safety conference. The topics are as varied as they are valuable, addressing some of the most common - and most challenging - workplace safety issues: soft tissue injuries, employee engagement, job hazard analysis, and mental health awareness. CEU’s will be awarded to all attendees.

The Safety Conference agenda also includes a Keynote Presentation by Garrison Wynn, a nationally-renowned speaker who motivates his audiences about creating a culture of safety while preserving productivity. He blends comic timing and industry research, along with a unique personal perspective as a survivor of a workplace explosion. He will explain what the most successful safety leaders do differently to make a positive, long-lasting impressions upon others.

Every facet of the 2022 Construction Expo and Safety Conference will be delivered in a socially-distanced setting in compliance with official guidance governing healthy gatherings.  Discounted pricing for exhibitors and safety conference attendees is available to those who register early.
