A 12 storey mid-rise condo development from Originate Developments known as Six99 has officially broken ground. The company along with Harlo Capital had their ground breaking ceremony onsite at 699 Sheppard Avenue East.
The project will bring more homes to an area that has seen an uptick in development as developers harness the previously untapped potential of the rapid transit along this stretch of Sheppard Avenue, serviced by the TTC's Line 4. When the project is completed, the Six99 will consist of 174 new units contained within a large massing, designed by srm Architects.
Urban Toronto reports that Originate Co-Founder Adam Sheffer stated that this project can only come together through collaboration that extends far beyond a development company.

The project hopes to demonstrate the livability of an area that has previously been viewed simply as another suburban strip. Transit infrastructure is already in place to connect the neighborhood directly to the rest of the city. Additionally, the site will soon be neighbours with the new, state of the art
Ethennonnhawahstihnen Community Centre that will offer over 200,000 ft2 of community facilities.
With a cleared site and construction officially getting underway, the forming work to come will soon reveal the animated massing that features a number of step-backs on both the north and south elevations.
Condos Deal states that the Six99 Condos will feature:
- 12 storey tower
- 174 mixed condo units
- One bedroom layouts
- Two bedroom layouts
- Three bedroom layouts
- Range from 389 square feet to 1,200 square feet
- Cascading terrace design with scenic view and living space extensions
- Fitness centre
- Two party rooms on top floor
- Rooftop terrace
- Co-working space/meeting room
The estimated completion date for Six99 Condos at Bayview Village is set for November 2024.
Bayview Village Shopping Centre is right around the corner and the great transport options and walking convenience make this project pedestrian friendly as well.
